Our Story
Scott, a disabled veteran, served in the Marine Corps for eight years as an 0331 Machine Gunner. He served on three tours. He is also a registered nurse and a residential real estate advisor. Scott’s passion for supporting fellow veterans comes from his own lived experience, and he continues his mission of service by helping create a space where disabled veterans and their families can find peace, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Jeanalin, a commercial real estate advisor, and entrepreneur, and a wannabe homesteader, is the brain and vision behind Semper Fi Homestead. Jeanalin brings her background in entrepreneurship and her love for homesteading to build intentional, hands on experiences rooted in education, animal connection, and community. Growing up on welfare and Section 8 housing, she understands the power of opportunity and is driven to create impact that lasts for generations.
Both Scott and Jeanalin are real estate investors with a small rental portfolio. They also partnered and sold a memory care home that served the senior community for 5 years. They are also deeply committed to service, community, and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together.
On accident, they created Semper Fi Homestead as so many people reached out wanting to meet the animals and tour their setup. They love to serve others through connection, education, and restorative experiences, with a special focus on supporting disabled veterans and select nonprofits to collaborate with. Their two teen sons help around the homestead and are learning to help run the business and nonprofit.
